30 years of 2G

2025 marks a special milestone for 2G Energy AG: our 30th anniversary. Over the course of two celebratory days, we welcomed about 600 guests each day — including partners, distributors, customers, and various guests from politics, business, and industry to commemorate three decades of innovation, collaboration, and impact in the decentralized energy sector.
 

A celebration of partnerships and progress

Our anniversary event was thoughtfully divided across two days, each dedicated to key groups that have been instrumental in our success. On the first day, we honored our valued partners and distributors, whose commitment and collaboration have helped us build a strong global network. The second day was all about our customers whose trust and vision continue to inspire our work every day.
 

Introducing the next chapter: Pablo Hofelich

A key moment of the celebration was the public introduction of Pablo Hofelich, our designated CEO. In his inaugural address, Pablo shared his vision for the future of 2G, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and international expansion. His speech set the tone for a future driven by technological leadership and strategic growth in the face of a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
 

Reflections from the past, outlook for the future by Christian Grotholt

Following Pablo’s introduction, our founder and long-time CEO Christian Grotholt delivered an inspiring keynote. He reflected on the company’s journey from a small startup to a global player in decentralized energy, and offered an insightful look at the challenges and opportunities the energy market holds in the years ahead. 
 

Spotlight on the Energy Transition: A High-Profile Panel

Another highlight was a thought-provoking panel discussion focused on the global energy transition and the vital role of medium-sized enterprises. Expertly moderated by Stephanie von Schwanenflügel, the panel brought together leading voices in energy policy and industry:

• Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia
• Simone Peter, President of the German Renewable Energy Association (BEE)
