Keeping a public swimming pool running requires substantial energy. From maintaining comfortable water temperatures to powering circulation pumps and lighting. For MOSiR, a public swimming pool in Czechowice-Dziedzice, Poland, the challenge was clear: reduce energy costs without compromising visitor comfort or operational reliability.

The Solution: Double the Power, Greater Flexibility

MOSiR selected a cascade of two compact g-box 50plus cogeneration units, generating electricity and usable heat simultaneously from a single fuel source. The units reach a total electrical output of 100 kW, and a total thermal output of 216 kW. The modular cascade configuration allows output to be adjusted to changing energy demand. Electricity supports essential equipment, while recovered heat helps maintain pool water temperatures.

At MOSiR Czechowice-Dziedzice, the two g-box 50plus modules provide an efficient and cost-effective solution to the facility’s continuous energy demands. Thanks to advanced condensing technology, the system can achieve an overall efficiency exceeding 100%.

By generating electricity on-site and recovering heat for pool water heating, the facility can significantly reduce its reliance on purchased electricity and conventional boilers. At the same time, the modules’ compact design and exceptionally low noise emissions of just 50 dB(A) at a distance of one metre make them ideally suited to a recreational environment where visitor comfort is essential. Combining high efficiency with flexible operation, the g-box 50plus offers the potential for substantial long-term energy savings and an attractive return on investment.
