Blum-Biogas GmbH & Co. KG, based in Hillesheim (Germany), specializes in the sustainable production of biogas. With a clear focus on efficiency, environmental sustainability, and future-proofing, the company makes an important contribution to the regional energy supply and to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The company successfully operates a highly efficient avus 500plus CHP module from 2G Energy. The plant generates an electrical output of 600 kW and a thermal output of 569 kW. With an overall efficiency of approximately 84%, the plant is a high-performance and economical solution in the field of combined heat and power generation.

As part of a plant optimization project, the technical retrofit was planned and implemented entirely by our subsidiary, KWK-tec GmbH. Working in close coordination, KWK-tec handled the entire project management process, from design through to successful commissioning. A modern SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system was installed, which specifically contributes to reducing nitrogen oxide emissions.

Thanks to this optimization measure, the plant can not only be operated more efficiently but now also reliably meets applicable emissions standards. This underscores the high quality standards and the future-proof nature of the technical solution. The successful implementation of the project serves as a prime example of how targeted retrofitting can improve existing facilities in ways that are both environmentally and economically sustainable.
