Beyfin SpA, a company specializing in the storage, distribution and sale of fuels, decided to modernize the energy system of its branch in Campi Bisenzio (FI) and opted for combined heat and power generation. The goal was clear: to get rid of the outdated diesel system and optimize the air conditioning of the offices in summer and winter. To this end, a g-box was installed, a micro-generator powered by liquid gas with an output of 20 kWel and 44 kWth, which was installed outside under a canopy and equipped with an absorber to maximize the use of the heat generated.

The project was carried out in collaboration with Renovis Srl, a company specializing in energy efficiency solutions, which supported Beyfin in the planning and implementation phase. The management of the plant is ensured by a comprehensive service contract, directly managed by 2G Italia, which guarantees continuity of operation and maximum reliability.

Beyfin chose 2G because of the company's ability to offer small, reliable and efficient CHP solutions - a segment in which few operators compete. The first months of operation have confirmed expectations: The plant has ensured effective optimization of heating (and cooling) production, a reduction in electricity purchases from the public grid and the definitive elimination of the diesel boiler. The company estimates the return on investment to be around seven years. No further developments are currently planned, but Beyfin sees the possibility of extending this solution to other sites if the same favorable conditions arise.
