The main benefits to a CHP solution the Trust envisaged were:-

•    Environmental benefits with  reduced CO2 emissions.
•    Improved security of energy supply.

A CHP solution therefore represented a significant contribution to their targets and is part of an overall programme of saving initiatives.

2G were selected as the single CHP Service Provider to undertake the complete design, engineering, manufacture, supply, off-load, positioning, installation & testing of the CHP system with O&M managed by Ameresco to guarantee savings.

2G supplied a 12m 1.5MWe Supersilent (75dBA in 1m) containerised CHP.  This This solution had to be specially designed to fit within a 12m container and several customer specific requirements were included.  The CHP generates at 400V and all of the CHP heat (exhaust & jacket) is utilised via a LTHW supply.

The installation was commissioned on schedule in Dec 2018 and is now set to deliver significant energy savings for the client.
