2G Energy Joins the Data Centre Alliance as Demand Grows for Resilient Data Centre Power Solutions

1 April 2026

2G Energy is pleased to strengthen its involvement in the data centre sector as an active member of the Data Centre Alliance (DCA), a leading industry body dedicated to supporting best practice, collaboration and innovation across the data centre industry.

As demand for digital infrastructure continues to grow, the importance of reliable and resilient energy solutions for data centres has never been greater. By working closely with associations, such as the Data Centre Alliance, 2G aims to contribute to industry discussions around energy infrastructure, power resilience and sustainable solutions for mission-critical facilities.

Through its membership, 2G is engaging with operators, consultants and technology providers across the sector to help address some of the key challenges facing data centres today, including increasing energy demand, grid constraints and the need for reliable on-site power generation.

Supporting Reliable Energy Solutions for Data Centres

Data centres rely on continuous and dependable power to support critical digital services. As the sector continues to expand, operators are increasingly exploring new ways to strengthen energy resilience while improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

Technologies such as combined heat and power (CHP) are increasingly being considered as part of integrated energy strategies for data centres. CHP systems enable the simultaneous generation of electricity and useful heat, improving overall energy efficiency while supporting dependable on-site power generation.

For data centre operators, decentralised energy systems can provide:

  • Greater energy reliability and resilience
  • Reduced reliance on constrained grid infrastructure
  • Improved overall energy efficiency
  • Flexible integration with renewable technologies

2G specialises in high-efficiency energy systems designed to deliver reliable and continuous power, supporting operators in developing resilient and future-ready energy strategies.
