Revolution Energy Solutions buys biogas power plant from 2G Energy.

Carbon offset credits help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
This project sells electricity and carbon credits from a biogas power plant. The plant uses a 2G patruus 190 biogas engine and a gas treatment system. It can power 300 homes in Oregon and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

This project generates revenue by selling the electricity, and through carbon offset credits which are bought by businesses or agencies to offset greenhouse gases they produce. Revolution Energy Solutions purchased its newest biogas CHP power plant from 2G Energy Inc. The CHP system will generate enough electricity to power about 300 homes in Oregon. 2G Energy Inc. installed this 100% connection-ready modular power station in Aug. 2011. The scope of supply included utility grid interconnection switchgear, and the gas treatment technology.

A 2G patruus 190 biogas optimized MAN prime mover with an Electrical Power ratting of 190 ekW/h (1,577 MW/h p.a.) and a Thermal Power capacity of 235 kWh/th is fully integrated in this modular power station. The biogas dehumidification system, a H2S (hydrogen sulfide) removal technology package, and the emergency flare are all integral parts of the power plant. The plant owner decided to purchase a modern and advanced modular plant, instead of the conventional custom design-build gas genset configuration they experienced for other projects in the past. The plant is an integrated package, fully containerized.
