The Nolli agricultural company, located in the province of Cremona, is renowned for the production of high quality milk, destined for the Latteria Soresina for the production of the prized Grana Padano, a symbol of Made in Italy. With a herd of around 300 cows, the company has two stables, a historic one dating back decades and a modern one, where a biogas system has recently been installed.

In the context of an ever-evolving milk market and a growing focus on sustainability, owners Renzo Nolli and Monica Guarneri have made a courageous choice for the future of the company. With the aim of optimizing their processes and reducing the environmental impact, they have chosen to rely on 2G Italia, one of the main producers of cogeneration systems, and the experience of Rota Guido, specialized in renewable energy systems from biogas and biomass.

The synergy between the two partners led to the installation of the filius 404 engine, a 100 kW biogas system, known for its high efficiency and reliability. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, which includes four valves for highly efficient gas exchange and steel pistons to reduce heat losses, the filius 404 engine guarantees superior performance compared to other engines in the same category.

The system at the Nolli farm proved to be a success, achieving a constant production of 100 kW for over 8000 hours.

This consistency is essential for biogas plants, as the flow of gas produced is not always as uniform as methane. Thanks to its ability to adapt to changes in gas flow, the cogenerator has ensured a stable income for the company, overcoming industry challenges and providing tangible economic benefits.

The implementation of the system has led to a significant reduction in energy costs for the Nolli farm, helping to increase its competitiveness in the milk market. In addition to producing electricity, the biogas plant introduced a sustainable solution for managing agricultural waste, generating a high-quality fertilizer known as digestate. This fertilizer improves soil fertility and reduces the use of sewage and pure manure, promoting the company's environmental sustainability.

Energy efficiency and commitment to sustainability have not only created financial balance in Nolli's business, but have also consolidated the company's position as an example of best practice in the agricultural sector. Thanks to the collaboration with 2G Italia and Rota Guido, Nolli is ready to look to the future with confidence, embracing innovation and commitment to high quality and sustainable milk production, respecting the environment and Italian tradition.
