Royal Marsden NHS trust is building a new Emergency Department and the precondition to the planning approval was the installation of a CHP. The main benefits to a CHP solution the Trust envisaged were:- - Increased operational efficiency and reduced energy costs. - Environmental benefits with reduced CO2 emissions. - Improved security of energy supply A CHP solution therefore represented a significant contribution to their targets and is part of an overall programme of saving initiatives.
