This project generates revenue by selling electricity and through carbon offset credits. These credits are purchased by businesses or agencies to offset the greenhouse gases they produce. Revolution Energy Solutions recently acquired a biogas CHP power plant from 2G Energy Inc. With this plant, they can generate enough electricity to power about 300 homes in Oregon. The power station was installed in August 2011 and is fully integrated in a modular package. The scope of supply included utility grid interconnection switchgear and gas treatment technology.

The plant features a 2G patruus 190 biogas optimized MAN prime mover with an Electrical Power rating of 190 ekW/h (1,577 MW/h p.a.) and a Thermal Power capacity of 235 kWh/th. It also includes a biogas dehumidification system, a H2S removal technology package, and an emergency flare. The plant owner chose to purchase a modern and advanced modular plant instead of a traditional custom design-build gas genset configuration. This plant is fully containerized and an integrated package.
