Industrial Waste to Hydrogen
A Creative solutions for green heat and electricity
Facts & figures
Founded in 2013, Semisils is the only company worldwide capable of recycling the silicon sludge alongside the semi-conductor production chain and extract hydrogen from the waste product.
Although the recycled hydrogen gas is stored in tanks by Semisils before using it to produce electricity with a 2G cogeneration system, the purity of the fuel gas fluctuates between 97% to 99% H2, which makes our 2G Hydrogen CHP Systems the only technology available to fulfil the requirement for a most reliable continuous power generation.
This regeneratively produced electricity is labelled with a renewable energy certificate and fed into the public grid and will therefore support with near Zero Carbon emissions the achievement of the near-term CO2 reduction targets of the Taiwan government.
Additionally, the entire heat generated by the power plant will be returned to the production cycle and assures a maximum energy efficiency over the entire recycling process.
The 2G-own built plant is supplied as a plug-and-play Container solution. Operating since July 2023, the agenitor 404 generates an electrical output of 115 kW and a thermal output of 129 kW, achieving a total efficiency of 81,5%
Thanks to the 2G hydrogen technology, factory owners can supply their properties with clean heat and power. 2G’s proven engine technology is recognized as being dependable, durable and could be used to supply electrical and thermal energy at short notice.
Unlike other hydrogen technologies on the market, 2G hydrogen technology is less affected by the use of various and changing gas compositions or impurities in gas or air.
Ampower is 2G’s authorized local Sales and Service partner in the territories of Taiwan.
Thanks to Ampower’s role as local communication bridge and their long experience in dealing with local technicians, engineering contractors and auxiliary suppliers, this project was able to apply 2G’s plug and play technology with little friction on the interface, and assured that the on-site schedule was met without delay.
With Ampower’s full-scale and highly competent service team engaged and taking care for the operational maintenance works, full confidence for the project success was apparent to all committee members right from the beginning.
