HonduPalma invests in biogas CHP system from 2G Energy

The leading palm oil manufacturer in Central America will use biogas to power its factory and grid.
The biogas plant generates electricity for the factory and oil processing facility while providing surplus electricity to the grid. The thermal energy is fully utilized in the palm oil processing plant.

HonduPalma, a leading palm oil manufacturer in Central America, has ordered a complete and highly efficient 1.2MW 2G Avus biogas CHP system. This system includes a fully integrated prime mover, the 2G Avus 1200, with an MWM core engine capable of producing 1,200 ekW/h or 9,960 MW p.a. of electrical power and 1,225 kWh/th thermal power per hour. In addition to the CHP unit, 2G Energy Inc. has supplied the complete gas treatment, including a cooler, dryer/dehumidifier, and H2S removal system.

 

This state-of-the-art biogas energy conversion plant will provide electricity to HonduPalma's factory and oil processing facility while also feeding surplus electricity into the utility grid. The thermal energy produced by the system will be fully utilized in HonduPalma's palm oil processing facility.
