Energy innovation for quality cured meats
Sustainable cogeneration for gastronomic excellence
Facts & figures
Always attentive to innovation and sustainability, Salumificio Pedrazzoli has decided to invest in the energy efficiency of its factory. Inewa, a renowned Italian Energy Service Company specializing in integrated energy solutions, together with 2G, worked closely to develop a tailor-made project for Salumificio Pedrazzoli.
“Our mission is to offer advanced and sustainable energy solutions to companies that wish to optimize their consumption and reduce the environmental impact of production processes” states Nikolaus Widmann, CEO of Inewa “Salumificio Pedrazzoli is an example of commitment to environment and we are proud to collaborate with them to improve the energy efficiency of their factory”.
The project involved the installation of a 2G high-efficiency cogeneration module, the agenitor 406, powered by natural gas and contained in a special containerized structure.
This high-efficiency cogenerator simultaneously provides electrical and thermal energy to meet the needs of the production facility. Thanks to thermal recovery, the heat produced by cogeneration is integrated with that generated by existing thermal power plants, optimizing the use of energy resources.
With an electrical power of 250 kWe and a thermal power of 260 kWt, the agenitor 406 covers 71% of the electrical needs and 49% of the thermal needs of the cured meat factory.
This solution made it possible not only to reduce company energy costs, but also to significantly reduce CO 2 emissions , contributing to the company's environmental sustainability.
Thanks to high-efficiency cogeneration, Salumificio Pedrazzoli continues to stand out not only for the quality of its products, but also for its attention to the environment and the adoption of cutting-edge energy solutions. This project represents an important step forward towards sustainability and energy efficiency in the food industry.
